Generation Wealth
A documentary about the American dream - and its downside

For more than 25 years the American photographer Lauren Greenfield has documented society's excessive culture of consumption.

Her documentary Generation Wealth is a study into the cultivation of superficial materialism, celebritism, and excessive consumerism - and exhibits both the backside of the American dream and its export to the rest of the world. Get a glimpse behind the glitter - from the stripper in the US to the oligarch wife in Russia.

The documentary film Generation Wealth is shown as part of the exhibition of the same title. The exhibition presents more than 200 of Greenfield's photographs and is shown in the museum's east wing.
