Louisiana is a private museum that receives state support. But the bulk of the museum’s economy is obtained from earnings, sponsors and support from foundations.

Louisiana would not be able to exist without their dedication and generosity. It is support from outside that makes it possible to preserve Louisiana with the special qualitative status the museum has won over the years in terms of both collection and exhibitions.

Being a sponsor of Louisiana means entering into a vital collaboration with the institution, with respect for general arm’s-length principles and a desire to use the facilities at the museum which are typical of Louisiana.
