TWO DAYS ART - 35 EVENTS
As a reflection of the recent art that has 'flooded' the Louisiana collection during the past three years the museum is hosting a two-day art festival on May 25 + 26, directly following the opening of PINK CAVIAR, the exhibition of new acquisitions.

Louisiana’s acquisitions strike out in many directions and address the viewers in many different ways. This openness and diversity will also typify Louisiana’s Two Days Art festival with a lively mix of lectures, artist interviews, performances, readings in the Sculpture Park at twilight, music, guided tours, and people meeting people – all driven by curiosity and human dialogue, and gathered in a packed programme of 35 events spread over two days – arranged first and foremost for the benefit of the museum’s guests. At the festival the public can meet, among others, some of the foremost representatives of photography today, from central contemporary figures such as Roni Horn and Paul Graham to a classic conceptual artist like Hans-Peter Feldmann. Films will be shown by one of America’s first-generation feminist artists, Lynn Hershman Leeson, who will also be present. You can relax in musical company with the creative phenomenon Henrik Vibskov; and with performances by hot names in contemporary art such as Jesper Just. You can sound out why Abstraction and Minimalism are once more getting top billing among the emerging generation all over the world; hear about Daniel Richter’s guitar-playing Taliban in Munch’s blue mountains or get a glimpse of the processes of art from the Children’s Wing, where striking contemporary artists like Simon Evans and Tal R are generously filling the public in on their work. Welcome to TWO DAYS ART, a festival with living artists and their widely differing methods of making art point into the world. TWO DAYS ART has been organized by curator Anders Kold and is supported by Kulturstyrelsen.
Opening hours: Friday May 25 from 11-23 |
Festival hours: Fri May 25 11AM-11PM + Sat May 26 11AM-6PM
