Louisiana Young
Louisiana Young is an educational site about art and identity, aimed at young people and their teachers.
|
Here you can find inspiration to develop new lesson plans and the students have an opportunity to express themselves through art. The aim is to use the students' own fascination as an outset for reflection and dialogue about art. The basis of our educational site is Louisiana's own collection of contemporary art and current exhibitions. Louisiana Young is a platform for more personal interpretations of the museum's art pieces. The site's navigation is based on a visual menu of clickable icons. By clicking on the icon of the girl on the diving board for instance you are taken to the page "Activities". Here you can find inspiration to new ways of teaching art. Louisiana Young is aimed at young people, but if you click on the black coffee cup you will be directed to a site for teachers. On these pages you will find ideas to various thematic lesson plans, as for instance identity collages, a manga workshop, favourite artworks and language of the body. For the full content of the site, click on the icon "Emergency Help Button" and a list of all the site's functions will appear. Louisiana Young has been developed together with DIDART - a collaboration between a number of European Art Museums, universities and educational networks. The aim is to explore new methods for teaching young people in modern and contemporary art.
